Despite the Washington Wizards’ latest loss, there are still positive vibes from other around the team.
The Washington Wizards lost to the Milwaukee Bucks last night. They are apparently a “shit show” according to Philadelphia 76ers guard Patrick Beverley (and perhaps many Wizards fans who read this site). But Washington rookie forward Bilal Coulibaly is getting love from some of the veterans on Milwaukee’s squad.
Yesterday during postgame availability, Bijan Todd of Monumental Sports Network had a chance to enter the Bucks’ locker room to ask Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard their thoughts on Wizards rookie forward Bilal Coulibaly.
Antetokounmpo was very optimistic about Coulibaly, saying that the “sky is the limit” for him. The Bucks star also gave his advice on what Coulibaly should do after tough games or stretches: lift weights and go to the gym.
Lillard piggybacked off of that comment, adding that Coulibaly was not afraid of the moment defensively last night.
Coulibaly had a strong game for Washington last night, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in just 25 minutes of action. If he can continue to play like this over the longer haul, don’t be surprised to see Coulibaly get more playing time and starts as this season continues.
