Dubs to Face Timberwolves Again on Tuesday as Part of In-Season Tournament
Playing on the back end of a back-to-back against the NBA’s best defense through the first three weeks, the Warriors suffered a 116-110 loss to the Timberwolves on Sunday evening at Chase Center.
The Warriors overcame some serious shooting struggles to keep the game close in the first half, but Minnesota’s size advantage and the Dubs’ fatigue showed in the third quarter in which the Warriors were outscored 35-22. And after trailing by as many as 16 points in the fourth quarter, the Dubs attempted a comeback but couldn’t cut their deficit down to single digits until the final minute as they lost their third consecutive game.
