The Red Devils signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley in January as a temporary solution following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Weghorst has impressed with his great pressing ability, but the Dutchman is not the goalscorer United need, having scored just two goals in 15 appearances in all competitions.

Goncalo Ramos is sought after by MU.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Weghorst returned to Turf Moor at the end of the season. Accordingly, Erik ten Hag was forced to bring in a top-class striker to compete with the best teams in Europe. A host of big names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford including Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Tammy Abraham, Dusan Vlahovic, but Goncalo Ramos could be considered.
According to Correio da Manha (Portugal), Man United are in advanced talks with Ramos’ agent, Jorge Mendes, with Benfica ready to sell the team’s ‘leader’ in a deal worth around approx. 100 million euros.
Ramos has been in superb form for Benfica this season, scoring 23 goals and providing nine assists in 34 games across all competitions, making a big contribution to helping The Eagles top the standings with 62 points, ahead of second-placed FC FC. Porto 5 points.
