According to information from Spain, Marcelo Pitaluga has entered Real Madrid’s radar . The defending La Liga champions are watching the 20-year-old goalkeeper. The Liverpool prospect has been compared to compatriot Alisson Becker.

Marcelo Pitaluga spent his years growing up in his hometown, making great strides at Fluminense. The Brazilian goalkeeper ended his youth career with Liverpool, joining the Merseyside side in September 2020. Since then, he has steadily improved despite still not making his first-team debut.

 Pitaluga has been compared to Alisson.

The 20-year-old has made 27 appearances for Liverpool U21s so far, keeping five clean sheets. And Pitaluga is currently on loan at Macclesfield FC. Despite his slow start at Anfield, the youngster is still highly regarded and has been compared to Alisson Becker.

Real Madrid may have to dig into the market for a goalkeeper during the summer transfer window as Andriy Lunin is likely to leave. Their No. 1 defensive position is still solid when Thibaut Courtois is only 30 years old and still playing well.
