The strange light appearing in the sky left the people of South Korea wondering.
Shortly after, the South Korean Ministry of Defense released a statement, explaining that these beams of light resulted from a solid-fuel space rocket test. Simultaneously, the agency apologized for not forewarning the citizens, according to the Korea Herald.
This was part of another launch test following a previous one conducted on March 30th. The purpose of this rocket launch aimed to bolster the country’s defense capabilities after the United States and South Korea agreed to end restrictions on Seoul’s missile development.
Upon learning the truth, many netizens could only react with a resigned ‘Ah, that’s what it was,’ having initially thought it was a sign of UFOs.”
